Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an Ayurvedic consultation include?
Your initial consultation begins with a thorough conversation about your health history, current concerns, daily habits, sleep, digestion, and emotional state. Eileen then identifies your unique constitution (Prakriti) and any current imbalances (Vikriti), and builds a personalized plan covering diet, daily routine (dinacharya), movement, meditation, and herbal recommendations.
How long is a session?
Initial Ayurvedic consultations run about 75 to 90 minutes to allow for a full assessment. Follow-up consultations are typically 45 to 60 minutes. Yoga classes are 60 minutes. Exact session length is confirmed in IntakeQ when you book.
Do I have to live in Utah to work with Eileen?
No. Yoga classes and most consultations are conducted live over Zoom, so you can work with Eileen from anywhere in the world. In-person sessions are available throughout Washington County, Utah — St. George, Washington, Hurricane, Ivins, Santa Clara, La Verkin, Toquerville, and the Zion-gateway towns of Springdale, Rockville, and Virgin.
Is this medical care, and do you accept insurance?
Ayurvedic wellness is an educational and lifestyle practice, not a substitute for medical care. Eileen is a wellness practitioner, not a licensed physician, and insurance is not accepted. Continue to see your doctor for medical concerns; an Ayurvedic plan can complement that care.
What's the difference between an Ayurvedic consultation and a doctor visit?
A doctor visit focuses on diagnosing and treating disease. An Ayurvedic consultation focuses on understanding your unique constitution and the daily habits, foods, and practices that keep you in balance. The two are complementary — an Ayurvedic plan helps you live well between (and alongside) medical visits.
What should I bring to a yoga class?
Wear comfortable clothing and have a yoga mat available. No prior experience is needed — all levels are welcome. Try to avoid eating a heavy meal within two hours of class.
